Actors Liam Neeson and Gabriel Byrne are also strong supporters of the reportedly $62 million rehabilitation of the Irish Arts Center.
According to the Sunday Independent, construction of the new facility will commence in autumn and will take about two years to finish. By the end of the period, the Irish Arts Center will have a sleek new theater that can fit 199 people and permit larger productions. The new center is also expected to boost audiences to 120,000 a year.
